Fighting Game Dictionary 001: “What Is The Neutral?” – In the inaugural Fighitng Game Dictionary episode, James “jchensor” Chen begins to explain common Fighting Game terms in 90 seconds to help newer players understand a lot of the Fighting Game jargon that exists in the Fighting Game Community.

This episode focuses on the vague terms of “The Neutral”, a concept that is so important to all fighting games but can be difficult to properly grasp what exactly it is.

So James when you talk about Strategies, are there any books you recommend to help teach beginners about learning strategies?

Leo Whitefang's Dictionary doesn't have the word "Neutral" in it.. trolololo..

+1 to Fuzzy/FuzzyGuard/FuzzyGuardBreak requests.

“Frame trap” would be a great one to define. I think I know what it means, but I don’t understand how it differs from a counter hit setup.

You can discuss the concept of "turns" and "frame advantage" in a future video.

I think it's hilarious that in a discussion about neutral you include a picture of Leo from Guilty Gear. . one of the most "gorilla/I don't care about your neutral" characters in any fighting game 😀
